1. License grant
A lawful purchaser receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased files for personal tabletop play and the additional uses described below. Ownership and copyright remain with Crown & Lantern Studios or the identified rights holder.
2. Home and private online play
You may print copies for your own active group, display maps and artwork during sessions, upload files to a private VTT game, and share player-facing handouts with the players participating in that campaign.
3. Game Masters and paid sessions
One purchasing Game Master may use the product while running free or paid sessions. Players may receive only the player-facing materials needed for those sessions. The complete product files may not be distributed to clients or players.
4. Actual-play streaming and recordings
You may display maps, tokens, handouts, and other table assets in recorded or live actual-play sessions, including monetized sessions, provided the product is used as part of the program rather than offered as a standalone download. Credit Crown & Lantern Studios and identify the Crown & Lantern product when practical.
5. Music and sound
Purchased music may be played during private sessions and synchronized with actual-play recordings or streams. It may not be redistributed as a soundtrack, uploaded as isolated music, registered in a content-identification system, remixed for resale, or licensed to another project without written permission.
6. Personal modifications
You may crop, annotate, resize, convert, or otherwise modify files for use at your own table. Modified files remain subject to this license and may not be distributed or sold.
7. Prohibited uses
- Reselling, sharing, torrenting, or publicly hosting the product files.
- Uploading the complete files to a public VTT compendium, shared drive, repository, or asset library.
- Extracting artwork, maps, music, or text for resale or use in an unrelated commercial product.
- Removing ownership notices and presenting the material as your own.
- Using product files to train, fine-tune, or build a commercial machine-learning dataset without written permission.
8. Group and organization licenses
Libraries, conventions, schools, publishers, VTT platforms, and organizations needing shared access must obtain written permission or a separate license.
9. Termination
This license ends automatically when its terms are materially violated. Upon termination, unauthorized distributed copies must be removed. Rights already granted under applicable third-party open licenses are not affected.
